    True story.

    I know two guys in the trade, let's call them Bill and Ben. I was chatting to Bill and he said when they were driving slowly through town due to traffic congestion, Ben wound his window down and in mid conversation, he shouted over to a fat woman walking along, "Oi, do you know what your problem is? You've only got one a******* to s*** out of". Bill sank in his seat.

    To this day, I still wonder if that motivated her in slimming down. That's Ben for you, he's that type of guy.

    I don't really think anyone is on a par with the States regarding obesity. If you haven't been here, you haven't seen a couple (man and woman, or two women) of people walk into any store or mall and each one weighing 300 pounds. It's becoming fairly commonplace. I can deal with some overweight, but that is just too much. Someone like Dawn French, for example, before she lost weight, when she played The Vicar of Dibley: it is difficult to even look at someone like that, though I liked her and the show, I was very uncomfortable for her. Must be awful to be so big. Women that size are becoming quite common in the States.

    While that might be true generally but I was a skinny kid who didn't get picked because everyone knew that I sucked at ball games while the chubbier kids could hit the ball out of the park.

    My mom was busy and worked all the time + had 4 kids to raise. She would just close my bedroom door so when she walked by she didn't have to look at it. LOL
