    My last boyfriend was Scottish and was not slim by any means, even for an older guy. I don't think it's just Americans anymore who have a weight issue, although it does seem to be worse in the States.

    I'm thin, I weigh 9 stone (57kg) for a 5ft9 man that's pretty thin.

    So I can make fat jokes without any guilt ;)

    "You're momma's so fat I rolled over twice and I was still on top of her!" ;)

    Eddie Murphy in an insult war with a stand up comic in the Nutty Professor I remember a spat my coke out on the guy in front of me in the cinema lol.

    Actually I think we are on a par with you guys! I had to laugh the other day as there was yet another bit in the news about global warming and sea levels rising then following that was some snippet about mainstream clothes manufacturers making plus size kids clothes. This got me to thinking that its not global warming causing the sea levels to increase its the weight of people causing the land to sink!

    I was wondering when I read that what is happening in schools now at PT lessons...I mean in this world of political correctness and all that smoochiness when the kids are choosing teams who gets picked last? I remember at school it was always the sumo sized at the bottom of the pecking order, so now that chubbier kids are more prevelent who gets picked last....ginger heads....the guy with the squint? I wonder what is the heirachy now?

    As a teacher, I'd guess it mainly has to do with individual personality popularity.

    No they are not both correct. You must be a Trump supporter. You are trying to pretend something is entirely different than it is, and you expect people to believe you. The meanings of the two words are entirely different, and in the context with which you used it, 'then' is entirely the wrong word.

    When I was tending bar in college I lived above the bar. At an after hours one of the other bartenders and I were in an insult war. A 3rd bartender chimed in with the lame joke about one arm stronger than the other from jerking off. I immediately came back with "I heard you were so frigid that it takes a Sears Diehard to start your vibrator."
    The other bartender and I prided ourselves on using original insults, I was pretty proud of that one.
    She decided that no further participation would be forthcoming.
