    In and of itself it is not illegal to make a lot of money and no actual wrongdoing has been found, Suspicion is not conviction.

    True enough, we have only Trump's own words, which are clear and unmistakable

    The Democrats have been trying to do just that for the entirety of the last week.

    If the Republican Congresspersons refuse to do their duty the general public will be the jury indeed, on Trump, them and the Republican Party in 2020.

    That was Zelenski's predecessor, and after the FBI swore out at least two unfounded affadavits to get FISA warrants to spy on Carter Page why the hell and with Wray more inclined to cover corruption and malfeasance than to get purge it why the hell would he trust them to do what needed to be done? I certainly wouldn't. Not until after a lot more fumigation than what Wray seems willing to stomach especially of the upper echelons.

    The entire Biden - Burisma matter stinks. The fact that it was OK with sleepy Joe dooms his nomination. The general public sees that along with the impeachment farce. This has done grave damage to the Banana Republic (formerly known as the Democratic) Party.

    Time for a reality check. The Prosecution has presented its evidence. Even Defense for Dummies will tell you that the defense should not endeavor to allow the Prosecution to present more evidence ... something obviously lost on Blue.

    This in fact is exactly what the Defense stated .. of course in much greater detail. On the other page is "listen to your lawyers" .

    The prosecution has presented its evidence .. Lets get on with it - and let the chips fall where they may.

    I don't think Hunter Biden was then or is now a Federal officeholder and so the Emoluments Clause doesn't apply to him. Do you know of any evidence that Joe Biden accepted Emoluments?

    Just as you baselessly speculated at what Trumps motives are. Trump did mention to Ukraine to cooperate with Barr, so the DOJ obviously had some sort of investigation in progress.

    Good Lord we aren't asking them to jail them we are asking for cooperation in an investigation. If they did nothing wrong no charges will be filed. You and Schiftless act like Trump was asking the Ukrainian to draw and quarter the Bidens. Dems need to grow up and quit acting like toddlers with their hands in the cookie jar. From beginning to end this farcical impeachment is and remains little more than an attempt to convert the Grand Canyon into Mount Everest by shoveling in tax payer dollars

    The defense has no say on the matter. This is not a criminal trial. In a political trial the objective is not to "win". It's to find the truth.

    No it hasn't. Not all of it. It's a lot, but not all. They need to be allowed to present it all.

    The accused has a right to a defense - just like in a criminal trial - so your distinction is of no moment.
    The Prosecution had a chance to present their evidence - they presented what they presented. For the defense to allow them to present more - would be silliness.
