The transgender community is beleaguered by a whole host of problems including higher suicide rates, higher rates of other types of mental illnesses, higher rates of substance abuse, and for some reason a much higher rate of HIV infection.

Of course, they try to explain away these things by blaming it on "discrimination", which is a pretty pat way of dealing with problems in a community that are 3 to 10 times the national average of any other group.

Science does not disagree. There isn't a single scientific study that says a declaration to be another sex changes the biological makeup of any human being.

None of those articles could rule out environmental impact as the cause. There is no evidence a person's desire to change their sex changes their biology. None.

In fact the articles are very clear their conclusions are based in theory not facts using words like "may" and "could be" when its time to form a conclusion. Hell, one of your articles admitted these studies' conclusions are inconsistent in their results yet you peddle them out as truths.

Personality traits like happy, sad, apathetic all can alter a brain yet no one is stupid enough to pretend it is a biological cause and the same can be said for pretending you are a sex you are not.

I"m stunned the state of Texas (of all places!) would allow someone taking a performance enhancing drug (a PDE) to compete in any sort of athletic contest at all, let alone a state wrestling competition. It's mind boggling to say the least and this brings great shame to the state and to the people who determine the rules that high school athletes compete under, in my opinion.

The rules were altered and dropped, it seems, all to please a vociferous minority of opinion and I feel particularly bad for the girls who had to wrestle with one
hand tied behind their backs against an opponent who was something more than a normal girl.. It's shameful and people supporting this wrong must look inside themselves to try and figure out why their sense of justice and fairness is so decidedly twisted up.

I haven't heard the HIV statistic but I do not doubt it - while I agree discriminate and hate can really destroy a person especially when it is on a large scale I agree that GID is just that, a disorder, that does not mean we should not try to allow these people the freedom to find happiness. I feel the reason many conservatives are upset at the issue is they are causing us to question traditional gender constructs.

A CEO lost his job because he gave to prop 8 in California and the LGBT community did everything it could to publicize it for condemnation.

At least one photographer and one wedding cake business closed their doors because they don't believe in gay marriage because of the pressure on lawmakers and democrats from the LGBT community.
