Why should anyone tell you the state they live in? What difference does it make?

I doubt the Republicans will hold onto the Cuban vote this round. They aren't all Yankee liberals. All ethnic groups dislike the Republicans and Florida has it's share.

 

The facts are many conservatives believe the states should pay their own way and many southern conservatives are in name only. They don't even know what they are.

The only important fact about those rotting supplies is who was the idiot who put them in one port of an island cut in two by landslides. Post who did it and not the words you pull out of your ass. Someone should own up for such a stupid strategy. People need supplies, so let them rot.

I posted the link for the subject of this thread, contain accurate data and not made up crap. The thread isn't about what Florida got for a different hurricane two years ago. Have you posted a link for Puerto Rico, like I did?

What have you done except parrot the same right-wing talking points about how they screwed over Puerto Rico.

How many pages did it take to tell the same people over and over what a flood plain is and how it is formed?

Why would conservatives object to telling other states to pay their own way? It's suppose to be a principle that doesn't change if it's your state having to pay.

I don't want to spend a half trillion dollars so you can live near a beach in the next 10 years, you pay it.

Did you not read what I wrote? There was a great deal of damage to areas of NC that were not on the coast. Farmers took a huge hit losing not only crops, but livestock. Hurricane Flo didn't care what the color of their skin was, nor their financial status. The damage to the interior of NC because of Flo was far more measurable than the damage along the coast. It was the rain and flooding inland from the storm causing the greatest damage. I had fellow neighbors who had to walk away from what was left of their homes because of the severity of the damage and the cost to repair that damage. Young families just struggling to make it pay check to pay check and several who decided to settle down in the neighborhood to retire. The devastation of seeing everything your neighbors owned out on the side of the road covered in mold, seeing rescue helicopters saving an elderly lady trapped in her house and seeing and smelling the dead animals caught up in the flood waters will forever haunt me. I had to Kayak to get out of my own house. You seem very ill informed about the reality of life for those who have to deal with such a huge loss with your asinine assumptions that Hurricane's only impact Islands, and coastal residents.

 

Is it your belief that all those impacted by Hurricane's make out financially? If so, you are wrong.

I'm laughing too hard at the moment to even paste the full story, but SOMEBODY (and I honestly doubt it's Trump since it's unlikely he knows where Alabama is) ADDED a black line to the initial storm path to include parts of Alabama, likely to cover Trump's ****up by announcing Alabama was going to get a beat down from this hurricane.

Not all the houses here have concrete roofs. Many of the roofs are made of wood structure covered with tin panels. Those are the roofs that were blown off and many are still covered with the tarps. The grid is old and in need of an upgrade. The contractors repaired only what was broken. It will take a ton of money to completely overhaul the grid so I don't expect that to happen any time soon.

 

$90B was pledged but we have not seen nearly that much.
