I didn't say that at all. If they want to start an impeachment proceeding they are free to do so. It would still not be a legal proceeding but a political one.

You accept that Congress can impeach, but you want to prevent them from investigating the things that might lead to impeachment.

If they want to impeach then start impeachment proceedings. But so far the things being claimed are impeachable have already been investigated ad nausem and no grounds found.

There is evidence that he committed felony conspiracy to break campaign finance laws. Bank fraud.
Those have not been run to ground, so there is still a lot to look at.

I know you are absolutely petrified of what might be found. You prefer wilful blindness over thorough investigation.

The title and the media coverage of this is a little off.....the President isn't actually suing anyone....he is moving to quash the subpoena....which is a lot different.

Thats where I have to give credit to the Dems. Legalizing marijuana is a great start. It never made sense to put people in prison for a plant. Each party has their own brand of overreach. That is why neither can be trusted with more than a minimal amount of power.

SDNY is investigating and he committed no campaign violation paying off Daniels and the Democrats don't need his tax returns to find out he did pay her off we all know he did. And assigning an specious emotion to me as so attempt to sustain your argument is quite pitiful.

They should then match the Democrats leak for leak.

Because you're chasing shadows that have nothing to do with his Presidency.

Except the information they want is from a time when he wasn't president. Congress doesn't exist to torment citizens through their personal finances, and that is in part what they would be looking for. Democrats are pathetic, abusing the miniscule power they have. They will likely lose the House in 2020...

If a president is proposing policy, people have a right to know if those policies benefit that president and/or president's family. I don't know why that should be controversial at all. Presidents have an extremely powerful tool in the bully pulpit. Don't you want to make sure they're not using it to enrich themselves?

Perhaps only for the time he is president. Congress is looking into his finances when he was a private citizen. That is clearly an abuse of power...

You would only care if a President tries to enrich himself WHILE he's in office? A corrupt person would try to enrich themselves AFTER they leave office as well. It's a serious concern.

Just imagine for a minute, if any of the other GOP candidates had won the election. Imagine how they would have handled the massive fake media garbage. I cannot imagine any of them having the guts or experience to fight like Trump has and Trump has slapped them around like the fools they are. The media is so furious that their tactics have failed. There would be no wall being built, the economy would be stagnant and the left would be pounding them into the ground. Thank God we got a man in the WH again. Trump needs to just keep it up, fight them at every step and never give them ANYTHING and he needs to start talking about how the left use gov as a weapon. Our taxpayer dollars being spent on this ridiculous attacks we all know are fake. The left have sealed their fate, they have made themselves into a joke for 2020.

No doubt....look at the net worth of the Clintons prior to taking office, or the Obamas, or people like Harry Reid...and then look at them now! Meanwhile, Pres Trump is losing money

If the policies benefit fellow Americans, or all Americans....why does it matter if it benefits an elected official as well? Obviously, if promoting policies that grow the economy, that will benefit the vast majority, including said elected official

If dumbacrats spent as much time on developing useful policy as they did on trying to frame trump, they might actually have a shot in 2020

Good luck with that. The left knows the American people have rejected their policies if they were known. Hence why they will do a frame job

    *LOL*

If the Trumpublicans spent as much time on real policy instead of fake policy based upon stupid ass campaign promises, we might be accomplishing something.

Uh, no. Do you think that conflicts of interest magically spring into being only upon inauguration and thereafter?

They plainly don't, so these information demands are plainly and obviously within Congress' purview.

    Jesus.

Anything prior to inauguration he was a private citizen. So you don't mind if Congress looks into your finances? I personally don't think that is within their Constitutional powers, but I guess liberals will ignore the Constitution if they can take a shot at Trump. Its disgusting...
