trump has dared speak out against trump’s economy?

Does that make him a never-trumper?

Serious economic concerns is an understatement...

When you want to reduce a budget deficit, you have to reduce spending.

He had no such concerns when he gave tax breaks to himself and his donors.

What! Federal pay has nothing to do with the economy? This is a cut in consumption by middle class federal workers. How is this different from pay increases/decreases from the private sector. None. Of course it affects the economy and the federal budget which Trump exploded with asinine and unjustifiable tax cuts on corporations and the wealthy. How about cutting back on tax breaks for billionaires. Oh, wait, they need that second yacht.

The tax revenue went up. The spending went up a lot more.

tax revenue always goes up, year over year barring a recession. Revenues would have been higher, had he not cut taxes. But I agree trump and the republicans love them some deficit spending. What needs to happen is tax cuts repealed, and spending decreased to the point the budget is balanced, or we run a surplus.

    You're right Reduce spending :

    - Do not pay Billions to Farmers because you messed up their business over a poorly bullied Trade War

    - Don't spend Billions on the Most Expensive Fence/ Wall ever built in the World for a Political Stunt

    - Stop staying at overpriced Trump Resorts and Golf Courses with an Entourage of Hundreds on the Taxpayer Dime

    Don't give the upper 1 % a Free ride
    • massive companies made millions — in some cases, billions — in profits in 2018, but some didn't pay a dime in federal income taxes.
    • Tax cuts passed by the Trump administration in 2017 have made it much easier for the big corporations like Amazon, IBM, and Netflix avoid paying income taxes.
    • Most of the companies earned tax rebates larger than their income tax, effectively seeing a negative tax rate.

Didn't you just create another thread about Fox News and its dumb listeners and how they are being misinformed?

Let me correctly inform you about the Trump tax cuts...
    • ALL tax brackets were cut.
    • The standard deduction was doubled.
    • The child tax credit was doubled.
The first two applies to EVERYONE WHO PAYS TAXES, not just to Trump and his donors.

And the third one applies to EVERYONE WHO HAS CHILDREN, not just to Trump and his donors.

I'm glad that I, the dumb Fox News listener, cleared that up for ya!

Not my problem you live in a high taxed blue state.

Budgets originate and are passed by the house.
That assumes that the tax increase has no effect other than to raise revenue. There are nearly always unintended consequences. The rich will find a way to avoid paying the additional tax.

Budgets, spending bills, originate in both and usually do so concurrently. Bill to raise revenue, taxes, fees, duties, etc, must originate in the House.
