    And US consumers benefit from lower prices on Maytag washers resulting in more discretionary income to spend on US goods and services. This progressively benefits the lower income quintiles.

    Thats a failure of liberal culture and our crappy education sysyem

    And it should have been a giant red flag to leadership that we are in deep trouble

    If you lost your $40 job at Maytan and now make only $10 ypu wont be able to afford a new washer

    That’s why we have social safety nets. There’s support for those who must retrain. A tariff on washers will result in more job losses than jobs retained What happened when Bush 43 implemented a steel tariff ??

    Social safety nets are necessary. Trump voters want economic growth. Removing trade barriers is necessary to maximize economic growth.

    True for one plant in one year. Hopefully the trend continues although it is largly due to the decline in the American auto industry which is not such good news.

    Toyota defenately pays American workers more than they would get sitting on their butts drawing welfare
