because God gave them the land of Israel, even if your feelings about land settlements are not in agreement, its a serious sin to condemn israel for doing what they are allowed to do with the land that God gave them, even if you dont agree with what they do or think it might not be the best thing ever. Because what they do is connected to the land God gave them, its serious sin to curse Israel, because you arent just condemning people you are condemning people for doing things with the land God gave them. Thats why some pastors think God judged America as a nation for presidents censuring Israel for land settlements. its not unbibical to disagree with israel but your disagreement cant equate to supporting people who are against them for doing things that they have the right to do, even if you both dont like it.

Thats why God judged the Amalekites as a nation and was so strict about it.

The Amalekite verse has to do with the topic of people questioning God because of the Old Testament. The name Yahweh is mentioned in the Old Testament.

Sure - but nothing to do with the topic I was discussing - and not connected in any significant way other than both being examples of God killing folks.

and we all know that YHWH is mentioned in the OT - and was the God of Moses - but what was the point of you saying this ?

I am not a mind reader mate - Speak your mind.

I think that we dont have to agree with or like what israel does, but we have no right to criticize them for doing things that we dont agree with. Its like in the OT where the Amalekites were judged as a nation because they were attacking people God gave the land to, they were judged as a community similar to daniel being judged, and thats similar to a pastor thinks america was judged for obama criticizing israel for building land settlements. I understand people who dont agree with their actions, but they shouldnt be corrected for doing things they are allowed to do.

The Amalakites are relevant to the discussion because they are a common discussion mentioned by atheists.

Of course we have a right to both dislike - criticize and disagree - with the Israelites - but that is not the topic.
The disagreement and dislike is with how YHWH is depicted - and what the Israelites actually believed YHWH to be.

Perhaps you wish to believe that YHWH flip flopping genocidal maniac with the most petty and nasty of human characteristics and emotions - and this is your right and perogative should you choose .. and that I have a right to criticize as well -

What I am saying is the above is not what the majority of Israelites believed YHWH to be.

ok cool. None of that happened and trying to insist it did is either insane or trolling. Have fun.

God sacrificed himself (Jesus) to himself to save us from himself. Yep. Makes perfect sense.

Apparently giving people impossible laws makes sense to some people, like selling a cure for a disease you didn't know you had.

Jesus died to save us from the judgement of being sinners. Its similar to like if a judge took on the penalty of his son's crimes. The judge would be like, "as much as I would like to let you go, Im bound by the law".

Question: And how do we know that God gave them the land?
    Answer: They said so.

This is your basis for condoning genocide?

What about America bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Civilians died there.

False analogy. We were not instructed by God in the Bible to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We did not commit genocide against Japan. In fact we helped Japan after the war. Their current Constitution was created in large part due to US help and full control of Japan was turned over to them by US forces in 1949. Also, unlike your chosen people, we did not start a war with Japan to steal their land. They bombed Pearl Harbor and started a war with us. So your analogy fails in every way possible.

Now this is what the Bible calling for genocide looks like.
Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’ ”

But America killed thousands of civilians at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Israelites also allowed Caananites the time to flee and there were Caananites living in Israel generations later.

DL... you have been prepared perfectly for a very, very, very difficult role...... and truly there is something of an Academy Award waiting for you.......... but it is way beyond a mere statue!

Your anger against your Creator prepares you to assist me in attempting something of a metaphorical magnetic polar flip in the minds and hearts of the wealthiest of the wealthy, The Illuminati. (This is over in the Conspiracies Theory section... but you really could help out with this)?

    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...s-and-the-media.331262/page-4#post-1072268732
Illuminati totally controls orgainzed religion, politics, and the media

My thesis that former Covering Cherub Halel who came to be known as Lucifer to Christians may be acting in the mind set of Stanley Milgram Ph. D. begins in post number fifty seven to that discussion. Many of your questions are answered in that discussion...... and your luring some of the wealthiest of the wealthy out of allegiance to the plans set up by Thomas Malthus..... could result in millions or even billions of lives being saved in this new time line that we are in?

Actually.... .the Latter day Saints do a really good job of explaining this..... frankly.... so does Rabbi Nachman of Breslov!

Latter day Saints are the most well read of any Christian denomination that I know of... .and you might really enjoy asking questions of their missionaries? I sure do!

Near death experiencers Dr. Kevin Zadai and Dean Braxton both report simply floating outside their bodies and meeting with a Being of Light who reviewed their lives with them... .who sent both of them back into four dimensional space - time on a mission to teach others.

Near death experiencer Dr. George Ritchie in 1943 was shown what is happening in four invisible higher space - time dimensions.

Jesus was just a regular everyday normal guy.

Some crazy Catholics made him a God because they couldn't stand that there is someone (God) superior to mankind. But Jesus is only special in one thing, that God did choose him to spread the Gospels among humanity.

Perhaps a more relevant question would be....... are YOU DL, aware of your own connection to one of the Fourteen Elohim.... the Seven Spirits of G-d, but they are twins?

Are you open to the idea of a spark...... that is a miniature clone of one of the Elohim... being sent to you at the time of your own conception? (At least this is the best explanation I can give for what happened based on what I have read so far)?!

    http://www.allaboutchristian.com/spirituality/

Or.... are you D.L., more like the scribes and the Pharisees of the time of Yeshua?

Did those same 66 authors write all of the books in the Catholic Bible (the original Bible)?

    Hurray.

Why do you applaud Indian giving? Do you think that a good moral trait?

    Do you do that often?
