REmember this is SCHOOL shootings only - not a register of all mass shootings

Is there a correlation between firearm availability and mass shootings?

Australia has had only one mass shooting in 25 years - you tell me

Maryland went so far as to ban all AR-15's and clones EXCEPT HBAR (heavy barrel) versions. So every AR-15 buyer in Maryland ends up with a better firearm than a standard because the idiots in charge don't realize a heavy barrel actually enhances the weapon (heat handling, barrel rising, etc.) while making portability a bit less (but nobody complains their HBAR is too heavy so what was the point?). It's what happens when people who have no clue get to decide what's best for the rest of us. In this case, they actually did pick what's best, although it was in no way their intention.

I cannot stress enough how little I care about what happens in Austrailia. How many school shootings did you have in the 25 years preceding the ban? How superior is your mental health system.

Your points are nothing but fallacious appeals to emotion, ignorance and/or dishonesty -- I'm all for a real conversation but first you have to do your part.

    Huh?

I already answered: Can't you read?

You yourself said what changed. "No one shot up schools 30 years ago." Well, today ... 30 years later... they most certainly do shoot up schools. Big change!

These shootings are a feature of culture and the culture of liberal ideology has come home to roost. Do you ever wonder why these shootings are a recent phenomenon? The intentional disintegration of tradition, religion, and the building of victimology are as recent as school shootings. The firearms used predate school shootings by decades.

Which, as you know, are protected by the constitution as bearable arms.

Ah muntjac, yes we have those. .223 is ideal. Why would matey need to use 30 rounds on one of those to stop one?
He was referring to to something bigger I expect.

It doesn't matter how often. Hopefully they will never need to be used in that capacity.

    That is completely irrelevant.

Nice appeal to emotion you have there.
    Fallacious, but nice.

Still have to pull the trigger one at a time like any handgun.

But it is "using a rifle".

The rifle isn't the cause, it's the medium. The tool that makes the action possible.

Much smaller community. Do you really think laws stop the unlawful?

You hunt deer with a handgun?
Impressive. I get that close at night with the NVGs.
But they are damned fast targets at close range, near impossible. Easier to shoot from a distance.

Do you think unlawful people are unlawful before they commit a crime?

    Laws can stop the unlawful.
If you can't get a gun, you can't unlawfully kill anyone with it.

Why don't you understand that correlation does not prove causation?

Right, so what is the psychology? So far all except the Vegas shooting gave warning signs.

So far, as these ‘gun free’ zones are concerned, the shooters have advertised theirs intentions.

I prefer to keep all threats at least 600 yards away.
