I really DO believe that hyperliberal, radical Democrats like AOC, Tlaib, Omar, etc., etc. will INDEED be around in five years. AOC isn't even old enough right now to run for the presidency, but in five years she would be! Could Ilhan Omar run for president? Who knows? Americans have already made it quite clear that we don't really care whether a president is a "natural born" citizen of this country or not....

Which takes us to the REAL question of, "What is it that Democrats REALLY want, more than anything else?" It's not a hard question to answer -- they want government to give them more and more of what they need, and want in their lives -- period!

These are people who, for whatever reason, cannot (or will not) find anything productive enough to do with their lives to enjoy the material benefits in a life that they desire. Somewhere along the way, they discovered that they lacked the mentality, the energy, and/or willingness to strive hard enough in a chosen work-life to be successful -- BUT -- they continued to want all the features of "the good life" that having a good income provides!

So, it's really a "slam-dunk" that this segment of society gravitated over to the Democrat Party, which since the 1930's has been the political powerhouse for many different kinds of handout-welfare, "entitlements" based on nothing associated with actual individual contribution, and dozens of other related 'giveaways' -- all at productive TAXPAYER expense....

There, in brief, you have it -- the Democrat Party, whatever else it purports to be, is the party of primarily the political faction of parasites, slackers, and disillusioned, directionless LOSERS who have just decided to 'kick back' and have the government give them everything.
It is the most direct kind of 'quid-pro-quo' arrangement: Democrats elect socialistic bureaucrats, and those bureaucrats give these Democrats a subsistence-existence series of handouts -- just enough to keep them voting for Democrats, again and again.

So, yeah, we'll have AOC, and many other AOC-clones popping up everywhere for many years to come. It is very troubling. We wont be free of the hate as long as the RNC and DNC control the narrative through their respective media outlets. They have proven to be very skilled at turning us against each other. Our 2 political parties use the media to spread fear. Fear breeds hate. Hate breeds more fear. Fear drives people to seek shelter. The parties provide an effective illusion of shelter that we cling to ever tighter.

As long as we the people keep drinking the cool-aid they have us where they want us.

Divide and conquer.

 

We are so divided today because our political ideas and what we want from government is so different. When I was a young man both parties wanted much the same things and they just fought over how to get there. The old fossils at the top notwithstanding, The Democrat Party today is defined by Bernie Sanders and is more Socialist than Democratic. There is no compromise, it's winner take all now. We are no longer the country planned by the Founders and defined by the Constitution because it has become so easy to circumvent the Constitution through a like minded SCOTUS.

We need healthcare reform and it's possible to address some of the biggest needs by working together but neither side can sit down and work on possibilities, both demand surrender from the opposition instead. We need infrastructure repairs and design and that is actually their friggin job. Those are two issues that deserve solutions and there are more but Orange Man Bad.
