Naw, you generally pick an innocuous statement or a semantics issue to question.

You have often said you are not a Trump supporter.

Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida brushed off Trump's remarks and instead claimed the news media was misinterpreting the President. In other words, according to the Senator, we can't trust what the President says. The media and Trump's detractors were simply going by what Trump said.

    We can't do that???

It gets even more strange. Rubio adds, Trump was "just needling the press, knowing that you guys are going to get outraged by it.

"He's pretty good at getting everybody fired up," Rubio said, adding that "the media responded right on task."

"I don't think it's a real request," Rubio said. "Again, I think he did it to gig you guys. I think he did to provoke you to ask me and others and get outraged by it."

Those remarks have some validity since I have heard the very same thing from Trump's fans on PF. They love it when Trump pisses off the "libs."

So, here's what we got. A United States Senator and many of Trump's supporters think Trump says things just to create a stir in the media while getting liberals all riled up.

To accomplish this, Trump incriminates himself where impeachment charges are concerned, confirming their legitimacy, while making a complete fool of himself on national television. Meanwhile, according to the Senator, what Trump says is meaningless. Do I have that right?

Now, I ask you, how smart is that? His base adores this ability Trump has to rile up the press and get liberals all hot and bothered.

It is just my opinion, but I don't think this a trait we want in a President.
