Commercial distillers usually don't make any distinction between the foreshots and heads and that is what I was referring to. For instance, in Scotland the heads and tails are referred to as foreshots and feints.

First run of a new 660 gallon still.

How Commercial distillers make their cuts depends a lot on what type of still they're using and what type of distillate they're making. Say it's a single malt whisky. It's coming out of a pot and doubler. And a lot of them simply mix all the heads hearts and lesser amounts of tails together. If they're making a blended whisky they're more than likely using a continous still (aka beer still) and will mix fractions differently. Professional distillers are also more worried about loosing product (ethanol) than your typical hobby distiller so they may make no distinction between heads and hearts.

All this said foreshots and heads are very different things. Ya ever notice how hangovers seem to be worse from store bought spirits? There is a reason for that.

Moonshiners do whatever people with one tooth choose to do, and often they drink methanol just to see if their last tooth will get cleaned off from the tobacco stains

You are not making sense. Pot stills for single malts are used for a stripping run first where everything is gathered into a low wine. The next step is a spirit run where the heads and tails are cut. For instance, some of the finer scotches take a smaller section of the hearts to gain a finer spirit.

Again that all depends on the distiller.

All distilleries in Scotland operate this way. Distilleries in Ireland use three runs.

Even here with column distilleries they still cut the heads and tails.

    Discovery is a major network.

To think these people did it without appropriate safety precautions and permits is an assumption at best.

Drama TV. Present things more serious than they actually are.

Appropriate would be to contact Discovery with your concern, then local authorities.

Inappropriate is take it to the federal level based on assumption. Which is a waste of their time and an added burden to Discovery, who probably followed the right channels to blow up a vehicle.

Again you are clueless. Yes this is a FAKE TV show, which means that explosive experts, and the fire dept were off camera. They do not make any moonshine on this show. TV shows and movies blow stuff up all the time, the only difference here is that the show pretends to be a documentary and fools people like you who can not tell that it is not real and believe it. They will call you shortly to buy a bridge.

    Sheesh

When did I say the show was real??

Documentary, fake or not doesn't matter. If you have the permits you can blow stuff up.

I don't watch nonsense like that
