Yes, as a mature adult you do get to choose how you define yourself given the cards you've been dealt. Nobody has control over their own conception or birth or early developmental upbringing. These are just a few of those things I describe as "accidents of birth". Since EVERY HUMAN ON THE PLANET SUFFERS THESE SAME ACCIDENTS OF BIRTH, so I find it rather repugnant when they are used by the fearful and insecure to exclude, deny, reject, others based on wholly on them.
