No you don't. But that doesn't mean that a=b which is why there are people called prosecutors and defense lawyers and judges - to determine if a crime has been committed.

Gee imagine appealing to authority in a discussion of legal issues where the source of that authority is the subject of the disucssion. Go figger. As for appealing to disingenuous ignorance, it would definitely appear I am.

And FYI, you are describing the "backfire effect". A couple of minutes research on the subject and you might see your reflection.

He had no idea that he was lying.
I take it you buried that "oath" claim.

Most of the accusations were from not remembering some of the specifics of some conversations accurately. Whether that was lying or a faulty memory nobody knows, except maybe Flynn. Though he had no reason to lie about anything.
One charge was that he said he could not remember one specific call. Reminiscent of Martha Stewart, Mueller claimed that was a lie.

It sure as hell does show a need when that "citizen" holds a top secret clearance, is prominent member of a presidential campaign, during which there was clear evidence of russian interference and he LIED about those repeated contacts. oops.

But keep trying to focus on "illegal process". Seems neither he nor his lawyers give much credence to your opinion since he pleaded guilty to the crime and all.

Truth isn't truth, a confession isn't a confession, don't believe what you see and hear. Got it.

The FBI agents doing the interview did not believe he was lying. They have most likely did this many times before and are trained to detect deception. Yet, here you are only reading about it and concluding Flynn must have been lying. Do you have any explanation for these strange mystical powers?

Even the people here who insist that Flynn was lying know that is a lie.
Flynn was obviously telling the investigators what he remembered.

Since Lee has all these strange mystical powers, he should have anticipated that I was going to ask him where he got those strange mystical powers.

    I love it.

You are just digging your hole deeper and doubling down on fallacious gibberish. Clapper was caught lying to congress. This is not only a crime ... its a felony.

James Clapper's perjury, and why DC made men don't get charged for lying to Congress

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/opin...g-congress-jonathan-turley-column/1045991001/

Lawmakers want James Clapper prosecuted for surveillance testimony before statute of limitations runs out
    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...timony-before-statute-of-limitations-runs-out

    1) you do not know what an appeal to authority fallacy is. You have not come up with any authority who claims Clappers actions were not criminal. Your fallacy is claiming that because the authorities in question did not charge Clapper - that what he did was not criminal.

    2) There is no doubt in the minds of legal authorities that - Directly and unabashedly lying to congress in falsely answering a direct question is a crime, the question is whether or not it gets prosecuted.

But, you already know this - you are just engaging in disingenuous denial because you can't handle your necessary illusion bubble being popped.

Comey didn't tell him he didn't need a lawyer. He also didn't tell him he did need a lawyer.

You can lock him up in the same cell with Flynn as far as I'm concerned. Is that better?

    McCabe notes:
“I explained that I thought the quickest way to get this done was to have a conversation between [Flynn] and the agents only," McCabe wrote. "I further stated that if LTG Flynn wished to include anyone else in the meeting, like the White House Counsel for instance, that I would need to involve the Department of Justice. [General Flynn] stated that this would not be necessary and agreed to meet with the agents without any additional participants."

I.e McCabe lied through his teeth about what was going on, and that alone should be grounds for a charge of entrapment against the agents and the case against Flynn, whose only real crime as far as the DOJ was concerned was going to work for DJ Trump.

Oh get serious. Flynn knew he had been lying, he just didn't have a way out without coming clean and resigning. In hind sight I'm pretty sure he wishes he would have just fessed up.

It would be much better - Equal Justice under the law is a good thing - - as opposed to the clown show justice system we have in this nation.

I wonder when we will getting around to charging Hillary for arming terrorists (Al Qaeda) - and lying to congress about it during the benghazi hearings.

Guess we will have to file that one under "Oh shoot we forgot" as well :)

If they couldn't/didn't do it after all those hearings, I wouldn't hold my breath.

It's called turning the heat up real high until he says what he is told.

Nobody has paid the least bit of attention to the many illegalities by federal agencies, the DNC and the Clinton campaign carried out to affect the election. Nothing new or surprising here.
