Feminism isn't a political philosophy. it's a movement. And Kurt would laugh at the bigots in this thread. "Spinster" seems to be the term accorded to people who are not impressed with muscles and BMW's... it really is pathetic. All this alpha and beta talk conjures up the clichéd Hollywood bully portrayed in American school halls. The OP's arrogance knows no bounds, he's even got the cheek to act as if - who he supposes are feminists - are missing out by not subjugating themselves to his view of a proper woman. Or whatever, it is so idiotic as to almost defy the point of argument. "Feminism has backfired because now I don't have to marry you." You never had to marry anyone... anyone want to marry this guy? Anybody care that he intends not to get married? I'm not getting married, I blame that on religion, and systems, and the way both things tend to make my soul shrink.

I'm so glad more women across the world have more choices in life... long may it continue.

I agree with you that the term 'spinster' no longer applies to these femanazis that left their spouses. Seems like these gals or butches can now get married to their female lover in at least 6 states with 4 of those blue states coming from New England. Although the bulldyke Rachel Maddow lives in the blue state of Massachusetts (legal gay marriages), I don't believe she's found the gal for her as of yet, so in that sense she still remains a 'spinster'.

Do you get straight spinsters? Married spinsters? Male spinsters?

    WTF is a spinster?

I have to agree with the OP but one thing I always say is when you get to my age, there are plenty of women available, problem is they are my age.

My gf is beautiful and about a decade younger, which makes her old in many eyes, but she takes care of herself and always looks fantastic. When she is dressed down, most people think she is dressed up.

There are a lot of women that are single and by the time they are in their 30's, are tired of the bad boys and would just like a nice guy, one that is in shape is a bonus. Problem for them is that most of the guys in shape like me are either already taken (if you are worth anything, you are already with someone) or gay. :p

Don't they have dictionaries in your neck of the jungle? Spinster is an unmarried woman past the normal age for marrying (whatever that may be).

Perhaps majori could help us out with that one. She might call an unmarried man a caveman.

OK well I tire of these conversations somewhat. I've stated my position, people look at feminism through a keyhole and paint silly stereotypes based on a select few. Look at feminism globally and definitively and there is no argument.

Its the feminists who have stereotyped half of our population--that being the males of course. Silly of me to have noticed.

It's a dim light you shine on feminism. I don't think feminist stereotype men... no intelligent woman would. We have to look at the sources. For example, Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a feminist (you may well share some views with her), Nawal el Saadawi is a feminist, Benazir Bhutto was a feminist, these are educated intelligent women, do you really think that their train of thought is so simplistic as to paint all men with the same brush?

I don't know who these particular women are nor do I care. I base my thoughts about feminism on the leaders and the minions who follow the radical agenda of these (mostly jewish) leaders here in America. And these wimin to a tee all rag on men and on life itself with their advocacy to abort at will.

I dunno what you're trying to say. But it seems you're quite happy to tarnish a global movement as you see fit while refusing to look at the people who may, just may, vindicate it somewhat. You've just made up your mind about this movement based on a select few people you don't agree with, and therefore feminism is likened to Nazism and demonic... well those three women are neither or... but that doesn't matter does it Lib, everyone who calls themself a feminist is a Nazi right? Yes, massive ignorance in that my friend. It's not different to according all Christians the same diatribe as you would the Westboro Baptist Church.

Tarnish a global movement? The femanazi movement here in America has never exceeded 250-300 thousand members. So you'll need to tell or show me proof that there is this global movement of man haters before I succumb to this madness. If there is any semblance of a feminist movement in the Mideast I haven't seen it as the women there are subjected to all kind of horrors including death for just looking at another guy. Tell me what the current issues these man haters have on their agenda. Their number one issue has always been to give women carte blanche to murder their unborn. Perhaps you could enlighten me with other feminist issues that may need our immediate attention.

I'm just trying to get with the slang here, never heard the word before I assume it's American, though it is interesting you don't seem to have a male counter-part.

lol...this from the guy who went crying to the mods because I stood up to him!

Honey, there is no "social issue at hand".

Just a sad, rambling manifesto of a misogynist hiding behind his computer spewing hatred towards women.
