How so? Also, I noticed that you did not challenge the kind of American that was attracted to Trump. As a matter of fact, no one has.

Bulls**t! The greatest tragedy in the current climate is the incompetent Trump. He has damaged everything he has touched. He has failed on nearly every campaign promise. He changes his mind daily. He always wants it both ways and he fails to commit. He has done irreparable damage to our friends overseas while courting our enemies. He acts like a hostile foreign power (Russia) has something on him. That is dangerous.

I guess no one has addressed your claim because they think such racist BS is pathetic, and aren't interested in diving into the sewer to legitimize its creator, or and veracity of it's implications.

You are welcome to wrap yourself in the hyperbole invented about the President. I'll continue to remain objective and encouraged by the effort, and comforted that the push back is proving how dysfunctional and self serving the swamp in D.C., and around the country, had become.

That is typical propaganda from the Trump playbook. Clinton was exonerated by the House committee that investigated Benghazi for three years. Clinton was exonerated by the FBI for emailgate and no harm was done by her carelessness which she admitted. Uranium One is such a ridiculous ruse it is no longer mentioned by the White House. The only people still talking about it are the commentators with Fox on the Trump Network and Trumpians on PF.

Trump had zero experience in governance, foreign relations, and the military. This propaganda was necessary to overcome Clinton's 25 years experience as First Lady, Senator, and SecState.

Americans tossed that experience away and we got Trump, a total disaster as a President.

    This is our President tweeting.

"It wasn't the White House, it wasn't the State Department, it wasn't father LaVar's so-called people on the ground in China that got his son out of a long term prison sentence - IT WAS ME. Too bad! LaVar is just a poor man's version of Don King, but without the hair. Just think LaVar, you could have spent the next 5 to 10 years during Thanksgiving with your son in China, but no NBA contract to support you. But remember LaVar, shoplifting is NOT a little thing. It's a really big deal, especially in China. Ungrateful fool!"

    Good Lord, what an idiot.

Another Trump supporter who refuses to face reality and responds with ad hominems and provocative labeling rather than an intelligent response.

First of all, the description used to characterize Trump's supporters is based largely on the many responses I have received on this forum. In other words, Trump supporters have defined themselves. I didn't define them. You should read what Trump fans say. You will see what I mean.

Secondly, Trump supporters have been defined by copious studies which can be found on the internet. When I say that his supporters were non-college educated blue color workers, miners, and farmers and non-college educated white women, that is based on research. Look at any map that shows the counties captured by Trump. They are rural areas.

Finally, the make-up of Trump's base is defined by Trump himself. There are countless examples and I described one in the OP. Following the invasion of Charlottesville by far right extremists, Trump defended the heavily armed white supremacists (one murdered a woman from the town), neo-Nazis, and members of the KKK. “You also had some very fine people on both sides,” he said. On one side were the townspeople defending their homes. On the other side were the heavily armed invaders. "very fine people," indeed.

One person who was very happy with Trump's words was the former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke, who thanked the President "for your honesty and courage." "Thank you President Trump for your honesty & courage to tell the truth about #Charlottesville & condemn the leftist terrorists in BLM/Antifa," Duke tweeted.

Trump knew that far right extremists were a part of his base and he defended them.

There you have it. The description of Trump's supporters is based on the words of Trump's supporters, research, and Trump himself. You need to face reality and realize with whom you are associating. Don't bitch at me for being truthful and quit making excuses.

I have read quite a bit of your work. As a rule, you attack and insult. You done that in the post above. Why would you be surprised when someone responds in kind?

You post little more than liberal memes that could be read almost verbatim on ThinkProgress, HuffPo, DailyKos, or any other of a myriad of ultra left Progressive websites.

So, don't get upset when someone calls you on you rather blatant bigotry. Also, I suggest you don't get triggered when someone accurately depicts your words as simply repeats culled from the latest dog whistle alt-left talking points.

The left is fully engaged in a no holds bared Culture War, and that requires deceit, lies, and distortions. You might want to think how successfully they have hooked soldiers to carry the fight.

I did not attack you personally when I described Trump's supporters initially. You attacked me personally. I then provided an explanation for the description. What do you do? You attack me personally again.

This is a common tactic by Trump fans. They can't attack what I say because it is the truth. So they attack the messenger. Just as you did here. A second time.

Actually, I rather enjoy it when Trump supporters do this. It helps to confirm the truth of what I write and it also confirms my opinion of them. So, in a way, I thank you.

You will get a lot more of my respect if you challenge my opinions that you don't like rather than engage in personal attacks.

BTW, I am not a lefty. Why do Trump fans always assume a critic of Trump is a lefty? Like many of Trump's critics, I am a moderate conservative who has voted for a Republican President for 25 years.

But not Trump. I am not a Republican robot who votes Republican even when the candidate is a buffoon and/or a sexual predator.

    1) Lyin' Hillary stole the Democratic Party Nomination.
It was Hubert and 1968 all over again.

    2) The Republican Party has far fewer Super-delegates as a % of total delegates
    than the Democrapic Party.

    Next question?

The Republican Party is at war with itself. If you have been reading the posts from Trump's fans, you know they are attacking Ryan, McConnell, et. al., the Republican "establishment." Trump has been attacking Republican members of Congress.

You call that returning to its roots? That is a rather odd interpretation in view of current events.

    MACHINATION

You omit an important political fact. Trump was elected by the Electoral College, not the people of the US.

Hillary Clinton clearly was elected PotUS by a popular plebiscite. She lost the election by means of a device that was meant to work exactly as it did. It gave an outsized representative vote (that has little bearing to the result of the national plurality vote) in a machination called the Electoral College.

This Electoral College was devised to facilitate the vote in a nation that had (at the time) damn few roads and thus means of communication between the states (constituting "the nation") and Washington its capital. As such, it is antiquated, false and useless as a truly-democratic electoral means, and therefore should be allowed to die its long-since well deserved death.

Ditto gerrymandering, the nation's principle manipulative electora device for assuring that in a two-party system the vote can be carved geographically to prefer one or the other party. A matter that (as we shall see) will be be decided soon enough by a Replicant Supreme Court.

Some like to think that the 12th Amendment is a foundational law of the land. It isn't - but it needs to be put-down by means of a repeal, which is easy enough because the process simply calls for a New Amendment to repeal the Former Amendment be passed by Congress.

Will that happen any time soon?

Nope ... America and Americans have not yet sufficiently well understood to which depth in a pot-of-shat the country has descended where effectively money can buy elections because of the billions spent on the boob-tube. Where national elections are treated like selling soap-detergent and all the politicians "wash whiter than white"!

In any serious democracy, neither gerrymandering nor unlimited election-funding is permitted*.

    Period ...

*Election funding amount-limits in key EU-countries (excerpted from here):

Live the dream, embrace the bigotry and liberal fascism. Not a lefty? Well then you are unique. I have not met a single Republican who would defend Clinton. Not one, ever. So, from my perspective, there are major credibility issues.

I wasted enough time on this topic.

    Happy Thanksgiving.

Ryan, McConnell, and the rest of the Republican Establishment are pathetic. They are probably the worst leaders, in a line of worsts, the Republican Party has ever had in Washington. For example, how inept could they be to fight Obamacare for years, and then fail to pass anything once they had everything? How many times has McConnell answered the most outrageous and vile words from Schumer and others, with "my esteemed colleague, who is a friend....". Time to hit the road with these losers.

The true Republicans are looking to clean house. The rest seem to be satisfied with the status quo which brought us Boehner, and now Ryan. McConnell, and McCain.

Trumpians anyone? Basically you don’t like the fact that regular Americans voted in Trump over all candidates. You continue to imply they are all stupid or racist. You assume being able to afford college and sit through classes long enough to pass a test equals intelligence. You assume that everything that was ‘pen and phone’ faux legislated the last administration was flawless.

You are guilty of confirmation bias.

At least you HAVE a perspective. And you should keep debating from that perspective. Because it is a good one.

We once thought that we had to obtain an education at a university and come away with this piece of paper that said we were "sufficiently intelligent" having passed enough tests to become so.

Which is fine. But education does not end there, because what you've got with that degree are tools to question further your existence on this planet, and find some important answers. Then share them with those who desire to read them. That is the heart-throb of good debate. No man (or woman) is an island.

But if one spends their life watching the Boob-Tube, as many do, one is self-indulging in a device the sole purpose of which, given its backing by advertizing, is to sell you something.

Is that what life is all about? Watching TV programs that constantly tell us what things we should be buying?

Nope and not by a long shot ...

The sole purpose of the Boob-Tube is to attract consumers of it's product, so it can sell access to that base to advertisers. So how does it grow it's base? By appealing to a target audience with things it wants to see and hear. Truth is not a necessary component.

While STEM degrees from university provide necessary specifics required of a career in those areas, to me, the primary purpose of university was to provide a background in more abstract thinking skills. That seems to be an objective that has been removed, based on my exposure to university today via my grown children.

Your desperation is showing. I said no such thing. You made that up, a common tactic by Trumpians. Honestly, It is a pretty dumb statement.[/QUOTE]

Desperation? Trump is President, Obama's "net neutrality" is soon to be dead, tax reform is almost done, the economy is booming, the Dept of State is being downsized and castrated and Trump keeps tweeting.

If this is desperation, I'll take more.

Again, this is all very confusing to those who opposed the Republicans, but observed that Republicans voted for Republicans but now these same Republicans are attacking the Republican leadership.

That doesn't seem to make sense. Maybe it is Trump's base that is confused.

How did Trump get elected? Well given the choice between a corrupt crooked serial liar, and someone out side the Washington swamp, I voted for Trump.

Then there is the fact that Hillary has the scalps of some 44 dead people that crossed her on her belt.

Let me get this straight - are you trying to tell us that Sanders does not poll with the Democrats and did not run for president as a Democrat? Are you trying to deny that Sanders is a Democrat in all that matters?

I know Wall Street loves the Republican Party because of its policy of deregulation. I also know Trump has done very little to encourage the stock market other than signing some executive orders that did away with Obama era regulations. That does not account for the surge in the market since the Republican victory. Obviously, Wall Street is counting on tax reform and the reduction of the corporate tax.

But this surge since Election Day is phenomenal, historic even. Never before has Wall Street bet on the come as they are doing right now. Many wonder what will happen if the Republicans can't pass a tax reform bill this year.

Before someone says something really stupid and suggests that I want the market to fall just to make Trump look bad, nothing could be farther from the truth. My investments are doing quite well just like everyone else. I am not in the habit of cutting off my nose to spite my face. I am simply making an observation.

He won by 2:1 majority of the states who elect the president, go back and study your civics lessons.

And had there been a national popular vote you have no idea what the results would have been because the campaigning would have been markedly different and voting patterns would have been markedly different but since that will never happen you attempt to make some point is entirely moot. As they say "If wishes were fast trains to Texas".
