Iran has never launched a ballistic missile at Israel. And while the Israelis do have anti-missile weapons, they only have so many and they don’t have anything like a 100% success rate on interception.

With a mass launch of hundreds of MRBM’s, Iran could easily overwhelm Israel’s missile defenses and hit their cities with nerve gas attacks that could kill millions.

So why haven’t they?

By the way, “cause Israel has defensive capabilities”, would mean Iran is deterred from attack, which is an acknowledgement that they do respond to MAD.
