To keep an apples-to-apples comparison, let's focus on Islam as practiced in the west, especially the United States. Just a short dissertation with some supporting evidence would be nice, and don't forget to be thorough about comparing Islam to the other major religions in the west. You should examine doctrines as well as attitudes and actions among the adherents to these religions, and especially at statistical acts and support for acts of violence of all kinds.

Abstract concepts can’t take physical actions so no religion can defined as violent, let alone the most violent. Some religious people are sometimes violent but then so are some non-religious people. It’s difficult, if not impossible, to distinguish between violence attributable to religion and violence attributable to other factors (instead or as well).

I do not dispute that Islam is a religion of death and violence. Not only do its religious texts call for violence - many of the adherents to this religion call for or condone violence up to and including calling for the death of infidels.

Where you are wrong is that there are not other religions that call for converting the infidels (Christianity) or even putting them to death (Christianity and others).

Christianity - in the 1000 years of horror - after they Church got power - was very much "conversion by the sword" . Heretics (another word for infidels) were regularly put to death.

We saw this during WW2 when Catholic Croatia committed mass genocide in Orthodox and Jewish Serbs (there were also forced conversions during this time)..... and the Church was involved. In the early days of WW2 Hitler looked like might be successful. The Vatican was all to happy to rekindle one of its favorite historical pastimes - Persecuting and Killing Jews.

Then we have more modern loons like this Christian Pastor - a fellow who has the support of a number of religious right politicians. A fellow who supports the death penalty for the crime of Homosexuality.
