Sadly Donnie could never do that. He also has to be the center of attention.

I'm not sure we're counting the same thing. You mentioned five Republican Senators. You need 17. 5 out of 17 is not "almost halfway there".

Oh look, another dem that'd like President Trump removed from office. That's not really noteworthy. She's wanted that his whole administration.

Graham is just one piece of fecal matter. Leslie cheered and played golf with the guy who pizzed on the grave of Leslie's alleged best " friend".
You cannot Truth a "man" who licks the boots and kisses the ass of a guy who had trashed John MCCain.

Keeping in mind that I've already said the 25th amendment won't be used here because Trump is still capable of signing his name (probably), the use of Section 4 of the 25th Amendment would take about 2 hours...

There's nothing to it... Vote of the Cabinet.... nothing faster....

Why try?? It's the right thing to do, and sometimes that's enough...

I still push Impeachment, since if he's removed, he'll (subsequently) be voted disqualified to ever hold federal office again....

Kinzinger scored poorly with the Heritage Foundation, too.

Don't disagree...but Graham is looking at Georgia and I doubt he wants to go down with the ship. Our politics is based on dealing with people you disagree with and woking out a compromise both sides can live with. IMO, practically and philosophically, it's important to get him out of office ASAP and to hold him accountable.

    Thank you for your opinion.

You need to go and find quotes by Senators, Congressmen, former presidents who called for BLM to march to the capital and "protest".
If you find such let's talk.

And you're certainly free to continue doing so, but I think you're realistic enough to recognize that isn't in the cards.

It's a bit funny to me that the same people who tell me President Trump's support has "collapsed" and he'll never have an influence on public policy again, are somehow worried enough about him being re-elected that they're seeking ways to bar him from running for office in the future. Bizarre!

OK...Democrats now have 50. It will require 67 votes to convict. That's 17. I counted 5 possibilities and said you almost half way there. Let's say that represents 2 more added to the five. That's 7 and double that for half, which would make 14. So, I was off by around 3. I believe that would be tough, but doable, particularly if he's felt to be a national security risk...that's what led Republicans in the Senate to not to override the defense bill veto.
Also...I think Trump is desperate for some kind of deal. He knows he's probably going to be fighting law suits and trials for the rest of his life. He may well be broke. Nancy just gave him a choice: 25th Amendment or Impeachment. If I'm right, that leaves him with either those choices or resignation, which would end his pardon powers. IOW, the walls are closing around him. And, he doesn't strike me as the Epstein type.

When you have a man down, keep him down.... Simple rules of street fighting... Thanks for teaching us.

Democrats would have followed your crappy advice in 2016....

I wasn't offering advice, just noting the inherent inconsistency between insisting that President Trump is wildly unpopular and worry about him being re-elected (enough to seek ways to bar him from running for office again)

He's only got about two more weeks in office. Does this sound like a silly conversation to anyone? I listened to part of Biden's speech today. Clearly, he wants Trump not only impeached, but ground into the dust. Does that sound like he's sowing unity?? Or does it sound like he wants to further divide us? Biden will have a difficult way to go if he doesn't keep his campaign promise to unite people. I fear he is so insecure about Trump that he has to try to cancel/erase him from all memory in order to feel that he can ever measure up. It doesn't bode well for him as a leader. Unless the left can embrace their own victory and move forward, nothing good for the country can happen.

Yeah you were.... ease up on poor poor President Trump.... similar to Trump asking Raffensperger to "find" votes...

We've learned the Michael Cohen code... It's been an education...

Nobody has remotely said Trump is "wildly unpopular", although he's working his ass off to get there....

Yes. Give him 2 weeks to do something Obama did multiple times. The one thing you can’t blast Trump for is how our soldiers were treated for 4 years. One thing we have NOT done is starting any wars.

Try it and there will be more, it’s obvious lol. Nor is it justified to try in the first place

I don't think they do quite yet. They probably will, but both Georgia Senators haven't been seated yet. They can't vote in Congress today, for example. First, we've got to wait for all the ballots to be received (Friday is the deadline, I think), then they've got to count all the ballots. That should be done sometime next week I'd imagine. Then the counties have to certify those results. Not sure how long that will take. Then Georgia's secretary of state has to certify the results. If they're close, there may be recounts. As it stands today, the Senate is 48-50, controlled by Republicans. It'll probably still be that way in two weeks. Sometime later this month, or next month maybe, Georgia's Senators will be formally sworn in, and the Senate will then (probably) be split 50-50.

Anyone care for a wager on whether President Trump will be impeached / removed via the 25th Amendment prior to leaving office on Jan 20th?
