Well thats because Schumer is too arrogant and ignorant to understand that people are knocking down his door because of HIM.

Agreed. When elections are fair and honest, people tend to be happier.

It's a statement of fact. One day we might have another insurrection in this country (and that's another statement of fact, not a "promise" or "threat") but what we had yesterday was not one. It was a protest.

The idea never had any life to begin with. It was a nutty "idea" floated by wacky hard-left extremists, without a chance in hell of ever becoming reality. Some people here, sadly, were oblivious to that reality.

Well, that's not going to happen. The sooner you get a grip on that reality, the better off we'll all be.

Is Joseph Biden the legal winner of the 2020 Presidential election and the certified 46th President elect of the United States?

Well, though I never gave it any real credence, I think your characterization of those who considered it, is unsupportable, unless one is willing to categorize the majority of the anchors of more than one, mainstream, tv news outfit as wacky hard-left extremists.

As far as that assessment of our fellow-posters goes, I have had posts deleted for saying less, under better-justified circumstances, about wacky, hard-right extremists (that last word was all it took, in one instance). And when I started a thread, in search of an acceptable term for these specific, die-hard, Trump supporters, under the rationale & expectation that we WOULD be discussing them further, at least in the near-term...you guessed it: it got deleted.
(But I'm not suggesting that your comments aren't completely safe from that. I suppose I'm appealing to your personal sense of even-handed, fair play).

    No kidding, WS.

I am STILL trying to figure out why certain people at PF continue to "defend" Trump's Egregious Act of Domestic Terrorism.

That's because you are one of the ones that understands the reality of the situation, I think.

I think I can happily "categorize the majority of the anchors of more than one, mainstream, tv news outfit as wacky hard-left extremists."

I've seen Trump-supporters / Republican / conservatives called far worse on here, and those posts are still standing, so you can probably imagine where my sense of even-handed, fair play lands on that count.

Fair enough, on that last count: I can't, myself, claim that my own personal experience doesn't color my view, as well.

However, on the reasonableness of classifying all those who feel that Trump should be impeached over this as, "...extremists," I still contend you have no leg to stand on, based on the meaning of the word Extremist. If the Speaker of the House of Representatives says that it is the prevailing view of her majority caucus that this should be undertaken, it is patently not limited to an, "extremity," of the population. Even if their apparent confidence surprises me, not accepting, now, that this is a mainstream idea-- not one of any extreme fringe-- would only show you to be out of synch with reality (though don't report me for saying that).

Evidently, Pence was called, evaded the call, and word is he won’t act. Articles of impeachment are next but ...

I'm confident that over the next year, out of office, he will talk himself into jail. He was always in over his head. He never fully understood the complications involved in resolving problems such as trade based on tariffs or immigration and was elected largely on the promises of his tax cuts for primarily the wealthy.

Were you alive in 2008? The level of Democrat vitriol toward McCain was stunning.

Not that I like the guy - I am not a supporter of neoliberal internationalism so there's that.

Read the amendment it concerns HEALTH issues, him being INCAPABLE of carrying out the duties, not his actions as the executive. That would be impeachment. The 25th does not replace impeachment. And even if it is invoked and President can refuse it claiming he is not medically or mentally incapable. And since you are not going to get the VP and cabinet to go along..............

The only way to remove him now would be impeachment and I don't think anyone has a taste in their mouth to start one with 19 days to go and especially after the last fiasco of one they tried. It would only make matters worse and further divide the country and incite people.

Trump has conceded. He has stated quite clearly there will be a peaceful and smooth transition. So calm down, it's 13 days tomorrow, I just counted. It's over let's have that peaceful smooth transition. Continuing to go after Trump serves no further purpose and does nothing to bring people back together even if it means just a little.

Did you listen to his concession speech today? What say you now?

Let me guess "HE WAS JUST LYING".

I think he views a peaceful transition as a failure, like It means they don’t love you if they won’t fight for you.

The fact that Stalin murdered 50,000,000 people does not justify Hitler murdering 8,000,000.
