The press is the enemy of the people

Journalism attracts crusaders ... people who want to right the wrongs in American society. These are people who want to expose racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. (whether it is real or not).

Conservatives go into the private sector and become doctors, lawyers, accountants, architects, farmers, and business professionals in corporate America. They don't seek to change society.

Conservatives see "traditional America" as generally good and exceptional among other nations. They agree to change only when it makes sense.

Liberals believe America is deeply flawed and some tinkering around the edges isn't enough to save it. They think America needs a radical transformation.

 

Re the so called "liberal" NY Times and Washington Post - not only were they in traitor Bush's pocket, he owned them in the leadup to his criminally imperialistic war of terrorism in Iraq. Both unconditionally guaranteed that they had incontrovertible proof of those imaginary WMD which only existed in the drugged up minds of pro war elitists who profited from the war.

Under other circumstances, right wingers say government is the problem, it is the enemy. Strangely, when it comes to war which kills Americans, deprives them of life & liberty & whatever while killing hundreds of thousands overseas, somehow the pro war media is now the friend {sic} of all. Then, those who peacefully dissent from war are now the "enemies".

All this goes to show how full of sh|t the treasonous the pro war right wing is.

 

Yeah, overseas wars, racial segregation, pollution, Hoovervilles/Reaganvilles and corporate welfarism are all "good" in their minds. Any dissent from that is, somehow, subversive and disorderly.

 

But you were quite clear that conservatives do not want to right the wrongs of society. They want the wrongs to continue.

The current media is steeped in anti-American propaganda, caricatures and lies about Trump, history, and American principles, and is, in fact, an 'enemy' of the American Experiment, morality, Christianity, and traditional values.

So yes, the current press is an enemy of America, ..along with almost all other institutions of man.

 

No. Conservatives seek change (to right the wrongs of society) when there is a logical solution. We don't want change if it's not going to cure the problem.

Liberals will just accept any change, whether it improves things or not.

And if you look at the world politically and not just the US Pelosi beliefs would have her center Right in countries such as Germany, France, Japan, England and Australia. Only in the US would her beliefs be considered leftist. As a Western nation America is one of the most conservative, both in Religion, Sex, Politics and social mores (drugs/gambling/drinking). I don't think the two ends of the spectrum look similar at all, but the middle 70% does. The 15% on each end are markedly different. you see Pelosi and AOC and Inhofe / charlie baker as the same beliefs, I don't just because they wear the same tie.

What you consider a socialist beliefs would not even qualify for membership in a socialist party in the western world.

Like I said, liberals are crusaders against what they perceive to be evil (traditional America, corporations, established religions, etc.). Journalism is the perfect occupation to slay these dragons.

Conservatives aren't generally political zealots. That's why there are very few conservative political rallies. They're more interested in choosing an occupation that will best provide for their family's needs.

I don't know how this can be true.Hitler,Mao,Stalin ALL used their
Press in nefarious ways as a propaganda vehicle.Why would they have
referred to their Press { unless they meant the U.S. Press } in that vein.
They obviously meant the Press of their Opposition.
Because anyone who studied History knows how Mao and Stalin and
especially Hitler controlled their country's Press with an Iron Fist.
So chalk this up to Inversion or use of Political Projection.

But Americans don't care about political spectrums outside of the U.S. As a conservative, I have enough disagreement with the Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda. Anything further to the left is just insanity to me.
