I think you're really overthinking this. You switch the words you use because it's polite and politeness keeps the social gears turning. Trans people benefit from transitioning. They understand that they are transitioning. They know that they were born a different sex. They are aware that they are changing their appearance, name, pronouns, some legal paperwork, and little else.

You have to make this really ****ing overcomplicated in order to justify being a petty enough person to go "You know what, I'm going to call you by the name you don't want anymore just to piss you off". Let things go, pick your fights, and have empathy for others. I shouldn't have to explain how to be an emotionally healthy adult to you.

Males are stronger. Identifying as a female does not change that. I will be the first to defend gay marriage or transgender equality, but this is not an equal match. This is an unfair advantage.

 

No you are underthinking it. There are oodles and oodles of writing on identity, Freud, Jung, Nietzche. What is identity is a major question still not fully answered.

I was a drug tested college level athlete. It didn't matter. You were not allowed to take steroids even if prescribed. Too much of an opportunity for abuse. Most of the original dopers like the US lifting team did so under a doctor's supervision.

There really needs to be a trans rights bill passed to get this whole thing settled already. Add gender identity as a protected class, reach some kind of compromise to make legal language feasible, and establish a few basic nonprofit institutions for a few generations to encourage resources for trans communities who deal with discrimination to have legal support and the health information they need to transition.

 

Here's a point. Gender VS sex. Remember whe you were asked to check the box that indicated your sex, not gender. See a "transitioning" teenage boy, groping teenage girls, and sharing a shower together afterwards has to be presented a certain way. Gender identity kind of masks the sexual identity element of "transitioning". A teenager with raging hormones and nearly uncontrollable sexual desire under normal cicumstances, is injected with testosterone and encouraged to force girls into submission? Not a scintilla of sexual gratification involved? Arousal is an involuntary biological response. Forget gender identity. Sexual identity, sexual orientation, and sexual gratification is the elephant in the room.

 

The only problem with it is the steroids he/she/its been taking. That's a huge advantage. I feel bad for the girl that was beaten, but ultimately it doesn't matter. There's no female wrestling in college, and there's no females on the male wrestling team cause they can't compete.

Why don't we get rid of boys and girls separate teams and they all play on the same teams. Basketball, baseball, golf, tennis, vollyball, track and field etc etc. Just a "school team".
