As for the OP - this was always the issue. Look at Fallon Fox. You cannot put a girl on testosterone to induce body changes and then have her wrestle girls. You also can't take a guy and put him on estrogen and have him wrestle girls. Males are different, and the entire notion that males and females are "the same" is a bunch of odious, anti-scientific, hideous bullshit.

That's why I asked you. I couldn't be bothered to read it. You'll also notice that I never made a comment assuming anything about the student's own position on the matter, but simply stated that I agreed with the OP that no boy, trans or otherwise, should be competing against girls in such a competition. I am glad that this wrestler feels the same way.

It goes to show that the same rules that make such events fair for everyone under most circumstances can have the opposite effect under certain exceptional circumstances.

at some point there will be no 'boys' or 'girls' teams as that is gender discrimination, thus a public school would not be able to support it constitutionally if it were ever fought to the SC

they would need to have the teams be private teams, not funded by the government

 

our constitution is what does this, were all equal in the eyes of government... should we have government run sports? should they be privately run, so we can discriminate? I think this will become a question as time goes on

The Constitution does not say anything about having a right to society validating ones imagination.
