....but to be trusted when they say they know it was Russian hackers.
    Are they competent or incompetent?
    Apparently the OP can't decide

This is the spin despite this paragraph from the hit piece?

"In the statement, the White House took issue with that, saying a strategy was put in motion when Trump took office. No such strategy has been made public — or even mentioned before."
So because this reporter, and the usual phantom "officials" aren't aware of any efforts, or they haven't been made public, means nothing exists to deal with it.

So the NSA, and other government agencies have just been sitting around twiddling their fingers, even though the issue of hacking and interference has been ongoing for a couple years?

How did they indict those Russians, if they weren't doing anything to monitor?

    When does this crap end?

I'm not sure what is worse, the fact NBC reported this BS, or the fact they believe an audience exists that will believe it.

Oh? I was unaware anyone offered any sort of legislation to create and distribute a voter ID to all legal adults in the nation. I'd support that and oppose anyone who would fight it.

Why are you posting a July 27th article?

    Here's an article from today....

Donald Trump's team says it is ready to block Russian election meddling this year

    Try to keep up.

Then once again you haven't been paying attention. The liberal judges have been throwing them out

    https://www.texastribune.org/2017/08/23/federal-judge-tosses-new-texas-voter-id-law/

Maine Wisconsin, Pennsylvania Nebraska and a slew of other states have tried but once again your party stands in the way.

Trump needs to fire a big bunch from the seventeen intelligence agencies to get a fire lit under their sorry-asses and put the fear in them to solve these election problems.

I prefer it that way. If the Democrat Party admits failure they might start working on a better platform. I would rather them think....Russians!

OMG! Please tell me you're joking. Oops, my bad, Lefties don't have a sense of humor, so that's why you don't understand Trump's joke about Hillary deleting 30,000 e-mails and the Left's obsession with Russia hacking into everything. Try to keep up; I've told Lefties on this forum it was a joke something like a dozen times.

If you have actual evidence of the quantity of votes changed from Hillary to Trump by Russian hackers, present it. Otherwise, try to learn the difference between ATTEMPTED and SUCCESSFUL.

    From the article

To be sure, individual government agencies have responded in various ways. The Department of Homeland Security is working with states to improve cyber security in voting systems. The FBI created a "foreign influence task force," and the Justice Department announced a new policy his month to inform the public about bots and trolls on social media. The National Security Agency and U.S. Cyber Command are coordinating to counter Russian influence in cyberspace, the general in charge of those agencies has said.

In contrast to Obama who directed the authorities to "stand down" when they sought to counter the Russian efforts of hacking.

And not let out of state voters cast a ballot without proof of a school schedule or proof of a real estate deposit.

New Hampshire was decided by out of state voters in 2016 who never showed up as promised.

    This should have never happened.

ROFL talk about egg your faces.

Did ya'll miss the press briefing yesterday?

National security officials at White House briefing warn of 'pervasive' threats to US elections: 'It is real. It is continuing'
    • The leaders of four U.S. intelligence agencies reaffirm the "pervasive" and "ongoing" threats from foreign actors, including Russia, to interfere in upcoming U.S. elections.
    • The agency chiefs say President Donald Trump has directed a governmentwide initiative to protect American elections in the wake of Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential vote.
    • Asked if the Russian attacks served to benefit any specific political party in the U.S., Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats said that country is "looking for every opportunity, regardless of party," to meddle in elections.
    https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/02/nat...arn-of-pervasive-threats-to-us-elections.html

BTW Russia has ALWAYS tried to meddle in elections just as WE try to meddle in elections.

And all this hyperbolic reaction is based on someone getting Hillary's emails. So would someone on the left please explain how the NSA Cybersecurity could have stopped that?

I suspect Hillary didn't lose as many votes over DNC and podesta emails being hacked as Trump lost due to the allegations of Trump colluding with the Russian government. And then there is the difference in that the DNC and Podesta emails revealed the TRUTH, the Steele Dossier reveals made up BS.

Sorry, I was talking about a Federal ID Card freely available to all, created and supplied by the Federal Govt. Not a mishmash of states differing standards.

And that case was thrown out due to the disproportional impact it would have by restricting the ability to vote for many people in that state, as per the Judge.

Seems like the only one doing nothing was Obama.............actually, less than nothing with his idiotic stand down order.

Some might say Obama colluded with Russia........

Zero evidence of that ... "altering" ... period. If you haven't a valid argument why make one at all? Someone "phished" the adresses of registered voters, and their party of registry. Information was collected ... NOT "altered".

Maybe put or shut up for a change? Post your source when you make outrageous claims OK? No report I've read, NSA, DHS, or congressional, alleges anything was "altered".
