Are you saying that Nixon's southern strategy is a myth and that the Dixiecrats were not absorbed into the Republican Party due to their anger over the passing of civil rights laws? If that is the case, how did those racist southern democrats become republicans, and why? Also, where did all of the information regarding Nixon's Southern Strategy come from if it is not factual? Who manufactured such stories and passed them off as believable history?
