He was a Democrat!! A "Dixiecrat"! You want to weasel out of his Democrat affiliations by now labelling him as a "Conservative" in order to align hiim with Republicans? Those sort of historical contortions is one of the reasons, perhaps the foremost, why many Americans have such little knowledge of their own history, AOC being a recent and poignant example.

You can certainly be a Democrat but at least show some awareness of your history rather than blaming 'conservatives' Racism was always the policy of the Democratic Party and still is, expanding their raison d'etre by separating people through 'White privilege', sex, income, and so on. It's not enough to just be an American anymore.

The Democrats have created hyphenated Americans, playing one group against the other, and the weaker members of society buy right into it..

Considering black people are only 13% percentage of the country, and then only a minimal percentage are college educated, it stands to reason, there shouldn't EVER be an equal number of white and black executives. I watch the NFL and NBA and you know what, I just don't see all that many white guys playing. Is that a "problem" or just a result of the best people available for those jobs? MOST of the qualified guys playing in the NFL or NBA are black. I accept that. And consequently most guys qualified for executive positions across corporate America are going to be white. Is that a problem or just math? Considering the disparity in sheer numbers, interest in particular jobs, and qualified applicants, it would make sense that your wife SHOULD be the only black person in there most of the time. Only 17% of black people are college educated by the way. The math just doesn't add up. Its not racism...its statistics, unless math is racist....and if so, holy **** are we in trouble=)

I've dealt with HR for years. The most coveted candidate is a college educated black woman. Since sexual preference isn't really tracked and hardly a qualifier, if you're gay, all the better. As far as corporations are concerned, you're a star, unless you **** it up. And a minority would have to really **** it up to fail in today's corporate environment. Sadly, that's where interpersonal skills and attitude comes into play and that's the area that does get people in trouble, when they've been raised a certain way or not raised very well. The degree only goes so far. The stereotype of a loud angry black woman is no lie. I've seen it in person and it was a real **** storm and not far off from a sitcom or reality show. That **** might fly in some circles, but you don't bring that to corporate. I seriously couldn't believe what I was seeing.
