I took it up with you.
Why are you looking for a subsidy?

They pay the same percentage, not the same ammount.

Good, are you jealous that they make more? Why do you want to take a higher percentage for your benefit?

I thought is was supposed to be affordable.
Why do you want someone else to pay part of yours?

Why are you mixing the topic of taxes with health insurance? Not man enough to pay your own way?

You’re a real man who wants to pay more for less coverage. That’s foolish.
So, are you going to or did you enroll in Medicare hypocrite ?

Medicare has 2.5% overhead, private insurance is 17% .
The govt. is more reliable , cheaper and pays for results, not for profit motivation. Guess where all your conservative buddies on capital hill go for their health care......govt. run clinics and hospitals like a Walter Reed. Ha ha,

You guys are so gullible. Even Trump the fool isn't dumb enough to get the same doctors you go to for his family. He sends them to Walter Reed. So, while the right dumps on govt paid for healthcare, they actually get their own from govt. managed healthcare when the can . It s laughable. It’s like the NRA dissing
Gun free zones and then having gun free zones for their meetings; you guys are absolute hypocrites,

Along with exploding the deficits. Which they pretend to care about only when a Dem is in office.

The thinking Left is rethinking single payer.

"The notion that we must all be cured alongside each other, just as we must be educated in comprehensive harmony, for the sake of national cohesion, is ludicrous. "...
"Private healthcare should be as valid an aspiration as wanting a car so you don't have to rely on public transport. To encourage more such aspiration, there should be tax relief on private medical insurance. We should incentivise those who want instant referrals to fit in with their work schedule, fancy add-ons like cosmetic surgery, or the latest fertility techniques, to aspire to provide it for themselves."
THE GUARDIAN, "We won't need a PC World NHS if more of us go private", By Melissa Kite, 9/29/13.

There is little evidence that either party is very concerned about deficits.

Except the facts they have skyrocketed under Republican administrations and fallen under Democratic ones.

Whenever DP presidents have to confront an RP controlled Congress DP spending proposals face opposition.
It has nothing to do with concern over deficits by either party.

“In recent years, despite thousands of bills introduced into Congress every year, only a small percentage (approximately 5%) become law. Of course, what matters for laws is quality not quantity. But why would legislators bother to introduce so many hopeless bills? What if they are not even designed to pass? What if they are instead designed to make money? The cold harsh reality in Washington is this: the very conditions that are so maddening for most Americans —gridlock, problems being ignored, hyper partisanship — are the very conditions that are most lucrative for the Permanent Political Class. Washington may not be working for citizens, but it's working quite well for members of the Permanent Political Class who profit handsomely.” EXTORTION, "How Politicians Extract Your money, BuyVotes, And Line Their Own Pockets, Peter Schweizer, HMO, NY, NY, 2013, p. 7,8.

Better to do nothing than do the wrong thing. It sets us back and makes it look like liberalism fails in healthcare when it's the only thing that can work. The mandate was a joke - penalties too low for it to be a real mandate.

What does that have to do with you not wanting to be man enough to buy your own policy, and want your neighbors to subsidize you? Should they come over and wipe your ass for you too?

And bad healthcare should always be a bargain for its victims.

"It is possible that some patients may have suffered harm or even died needlessly as a result of alerts not being complied with." The report suggests two health boards - Aneurin Bevan and Betsi Cadwaladr - have failed to fully implement procedures designed to reduce the risk of giving patients the wrong blood transfusion, despite the deadline for its implementation passing in May 2007.
Only three boards - Cardiff and Vale, Cwm Taf (covering the south east Wales valleys) and Powys - had completed actions on an alert designed to improve the safe administration of oxygen.”
BBC,”Patients at risk as NHS fails to respond to safety alerts, By Owain Clarke, BBC Wales health correspondent, 9/30/13.

Exactly.....yet NO ONE has exploded the deficits when the economy is good and they should be paying it down, like republicans.

Excellent point. This is the third time the Republicans have done this, the the harm of our nation.

Still, it put a big dent into the sad figure that 30k a year died for lack of health care. Once people get a taste of not having preexisting conditions and caps preventing them from having healthcare, they’re more apt to go for single payer.

But yet, they parade around and preach like they can add. Ryan’s budget with his bogus dynamic scoring isn’t even a sound economic policy. Their base seems to think that anyone with an R can handle money.

So, are you on Medicare or planning to sign up for it ? You want someone to wipe your ass in the old age home on the tax payers dollar ? You’ve avoided that question three times.

There is plenty of evidence. Obama cut the deficit by 2/3. Clinton cut the deficit enough to balance the budget over several budget years. Me thinks there IS one party that cares about deficits,
