She isn't charged with abortion she is charged win manslaughter, get your facts straight. Try again
So in the committance of a crime a human life was lost and you don't think there should be anyone charged?

In an armed society, it's best to keep your hands to yourself.

Did her actions directly lead to the loss of her pregnancy? If so, then it is manslaughter at the very least, as a fetus is counted as an individual in the event of a homicide.

Once again. Do not engage in criminal assault, do not get shot in response. It is literally that simple. Why is it that so many simply cannot comprehend such a basic concept?

Well, a lot of people DO understand that concept. Just not this one. Let's face it, looking at that shirt we also have a woman with impeccable fashion sense. Y'know -

    - I wonder what the father of the child has to say about this - assuming that momma even knows who he is? Hey, the bar was busy that night!

They took a stab at indicting the shooter, and when that failed, moved on to the other person involved in the incident.....

Doesn't sound like it's a lock that the prosecutor will be moving forward....

    SNIP
The indictment, however, may or may not lead to prosecution, according to a statement from the Jefferson County District Attorney Bessemer Division's office.

"While the Grand Jury has had its say, our office is in the process of evaluating this case and has not yet made a determination about whether to prosecute it as a manslaughter case, reduce it to a lesser charge or not to prosecute it," Bessemer Cutoff District Attorney Lynneice Washington said.

"We will announce our decision only after all due diligence has been performed."

I'm sure THAT will just drive you guys APESHIT!! Jussie Smolett 2.0??

As I've posted before (along with many others), I think there could be a charge here, but manslaughter is way over the top for a woman who was shot in the stomach and lost her child as a result....

Once again, I have not seen any evidence that the pregnant woman committed aggression of a nature that a reasonable person would perceive as justifying the use of lethal force. If this goes to trial, I wouldn’t be surprised if the jury sees it that way and acquits her.

Yea after further investigation they determined it was a lawful self-defense that the mother was responsible for the altercation and would not desist and by doing so put a third person endanger and in fact the person suffer death.

    Manslaughter.

The grand jury apparently saw all the evidence necessary to indicate the pregnant woman did indeed commit as aggressive against another that warranted lethal force in response.

I swear you have got to be intentionally actimg dumb. This is not at all complicated.

    1. If you are attacked, you can defend yourself. The person attacked is clearly innocent.

    2. If your dumbass actions lead to the death of someone else, you are charged. The attackers actions lead to tje death if the baby and thus she was charged.

Seriously, what do you not get?

Why are you so intent on fallaciously calling it an abortion, just curious what's your point in doing so?

    a·bor·tion
    /əˈbôrSH(ə)n/

    noun

    • 1.the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy:
Are you saying she intentionally got into a fight in order to kill her baby?

It’s depressing to share a country with people like that.

The grand jury made a decision. Based on what I’ve heard, I haven’t seen enough details to share the opinion that she was criminally responsible, and I certainly haven’t heard enough to find the shooting justifiable.

I'm curious about Florida. What's the deal with that state? As a non-American I occasionally hear jokes about it, but don't get much of the detail. My own cursory observations tell me it's a) very flat, b) stinking hot, c) full of fat people living in trailers, and d) very flat.

I get it. You don't. It's the law and it's clear. You let your agenda get in the way. Stop pushing an agenda and you might be able to look at things objectively.

The law is clear. When your actions cause harm to another, you're held liable. In this case, the one liable isn't the one who was acting in self defense.

Also, our discussion is about the law, not the outcome of this one trial. You've clearly abandoned that discussion.....gee i wonder why.

You nailed 2 of the 3 primary factors in Florida being Florida (b and c).... Throw in their gun laws - https://www.hg.org/legal-articles/how-strict-are-the-gun-laws-in-florida-26492 - and it's as close to a third world country as we can produce...

Nice golf in the winter however...
