Law-abiding do not sell firearms to felons.

Universal background checks block sales to prohibited persons.

Only the immoral would sell firearms to prohibited persons without background
    checks.

When you ask a liberal how much gun control is "enough" - that is, at what point do we have enough gun control laws and do not need more - they will never give you a straight or honest answer.

I thank you for your red herring and invite you to present a response that addresses what I said.

The government has had control over guns for a long time.

    Actually.

And ninety percent of Americans want to have background checks.

The government would not be involved if all gun owners were moral people.

    Alas, they are not.

That is the purpose of laws, a safety net to protect the moral from people who
    aren't.

And someone who would sell a firearm to a stranger would not be moral.

    Yes?

Gun control is merely a wish. It's a hope that gun violence will somehow decrease. Wrong. Guns become the hottest black market item, criminals won't register any guns, and law abiding citizens are the only ones who suffer.

And yet they still "track deaths", from and by all causes and situations, including those related to firearms, contrary to your claim.
You aren't trying to move a goalpost, are you?

Haha. How many guns do you think the government can track right now. Give me a percentage.

    This should be fun

An overly broad, and therefore meaningless, statement.

It does not matter how many time you repeat your argumentum ad populum, it remains a fallacy.

Why would they when they talk to people like you?

90 percent of Americans want universal background checks.

Perhaps 20 percent of Americans are liberal.

That would mean most people aren't liberals but still support background
    checks.

And that is backed by polls you refuse to acknowledge.

And in "public" forums, the minority of gun gnutters shout down any attempt
for civil discussion leaving the forum of uncivil persons.

Civil person understand when they talk to people who have no interest in
    listening.

    Straw man.

If you think it is relevant, you look it up and you post it.

Criminals, by definition, break the law; no law can prevent someone from breaking another law.

Haha. That's what I thought. It was in response to your false comment about the government already in control of guns.

    Couldn't be more wrong.

If you want to accuse me of a crime, you'd better have evidence of it. My right to responsibly own firearms is exactly that: Mine. Laws which restrict my rights when I have committed no crime are not compatible with my freedom nor my liberty. If I knowingly sell a firearm to a felon, then I would be guilty of a crime. I haven't, so feel free to go perform anatomical impossibilities on yourself.

According to the post I responded to the poster thought so. The theory is debunked.

People who should not have firearms ought to be in prison, jail or protective custody. What they did in their past ought to be irrelevant.

Under what circumstances is it legal to sell a firearm to a felon?

As far as I'm concerned, once someone has paid their debt to society they should indeed have their rights of citizenship restored; which includes their right to be armed.

No, that's not a straw man. It confronts you for accusing me of criminal activity, now doesn't it?

My question directly relates to your constant bleating about selling firearms to felons.
If you cannot describe when it is illegal to sell a firearm to felons, you, necessarily, argue from ignorance.
    So...
Under what circumstances is it legal to sell a firearm to a felon?
